FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

What is Reiki?

Reiki is originally a hands-on energy healing modality; however, it can also be done hands-off if the client is more comfortable with that. It was discovered by Mikao Usui, a Japanese man, in the 1920’s. The word “Reiki” roughly translates into “Universal Life Energy”. During the session, the practitioner will do different hand positions on or right above the client’s body. To put it simply, energy flows through the practitioner into the client to increase healing.

What is Pranic Healing?

Pranic Healing was discovered by Master Choa Kok Sui. It is a hands-off energy healing modality. It focuses on cleansing the aura and chakras of negative energy to allow the positive, healing energy to flow through. Pranic Healing contains different protocols that the practitioner follows depending on the client’s ailment(s).

What is Sound Healing?

Sound Healing consists of the practitioner playing different instruments around or on the client’s body. It has been around since ancient civilizations. The goal is to allow the client to fall into a theta state, which allows healing to begin. Right now, I am able to play Tibetan Sound Bowls, tuning forks, and chimes for my clients.

What is Crystal Healing?

During a session, the practitioner will lay crystals either on the client’s body or next to them. The crystals are blessed with Reiki and prayer to allow for better healing. The crystals absorb the negative energy from the chakras and aura and transmute it into positive energy. If you are suffering from any type of cancer, I do not recommend crystal healing because they can be too much for the body.

How do I know which modality to choose?

The first thing I tell my clients is to listen to their gut. Which one is really calling out to you? All of the modalities can help one heal. If you suffer from chronic or severe ailments, I recommend starting with Pranic Healing. If you are looking to relax and find some relief from life’s chaos, I recommend Reiki or Sound Healing. Crystal Healing is good for those who want some peace and feel stagnant and/or congested, whether that be chest congestion or feeling bloated.

What should I expect for my first session?

You should arrive about 5 minutes early to fill out an intake form. I will try my best to make your visit as relaxing and healing as possible. After the intake form, we will go into a room that has a massage table in it. The lights will be dim and if essential oils don’t bother you, I will have the diffuser going. I ask that you take off your shoes and you will lay on your back on the table. I have a blanket if a client gets too cold. I ask the client to connect the tip of their tongue to the roof of their mouth to allow energy to flow better. During the session, all you have to do is relax. Most clients decide not to talk, but if you need to talk during a session, you are more than welcome to. If there are any accommodations you need, please message me beforehand so I can try my best to accommodate you so your session is enjoyable.

Why do I need to connect the tip of my tongue to my palate?

According to Master Choa Kok Sui, connecting the tip of the tongue to the palate allows for better energy assimilation. There is a meridian that runs through the body and when the tongue is on the palate it completes the meridian. If you don’t know what a meridian is, it is an energy channel that runs along the body.

What should I do after a session?

After a session, you should try to do certain things to help the body assimilate the energy better so the effects last longer. Do not eat red meat or shower for at least 12-24 hours. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Eat light meals. Rest and Relax as much as possible. Try your best to keep your thoughts positive. You can take salt baths because it helps cleanse the body and aura. And if you forget any of this, do not worry. After a session, a reminder will be sent to your email that covers all of this in more detail and gives reasons as to why to do them.

What should I do to prepare before a session?

I recommend that you drink plenty of water. Try to take salt baths to help cleanse the aura and body. Also, it is important to think about what you want me to focus on so I can help you to the best of my ability.

How do I take a salt bath?

Dissolve 1 lb. of kosher salt or sea salt in a tub of water that is filled enough to cover the whole body. Soak for 20 minutes and wash off the salt water with a shower.

What methods of payment do you take?

I take cash, debit card, or Venmo. There are no extra fees with debit cards.
